Nothing satisfies the man who is not satisfied with a little

"Nothing satisfies the man who is not satisfied with a little," so said Epicurus. I wonder if that is true? Satisfaction, though seems to breed atrophy or ambivalence. Good thing Socrates was not a student of Epicurus, or he may have never challenged the status quo.
