I would not say that I'm an early adopter or a late adopter, but kind of late early adopter. I like all of the web stuff and gadgets and all that geeky stuff, but my finances prohibit me from getting anything cool and new like a smart phone or iphone (see I don't even know how to spell it); I send no more than a dozen text messages a month; I was a NetZero subscriber for way too long, I've never bought a computer that doesn't have specs that are well over a year behind what's considered good, etc. However, I bought a GPS when they were $1000+, I taught myself how to code in HTML way back in 1994, I have a Nikin D80, I've had a blog for over 10 years, I listen to audiobooks (not on an Ipod), I have 43 connections on LinkedIn, etc. It's a mash up of the old and new. I guess I'll pick something up if it meets certain critera, of which I won't really bother myself with here.
Anyway, I've been using an RSS reader lately because finally I figured out how (it's easy as reading email). Here's a list of my subscriptions:

It's almost like, well it is, subscribing to websites like subscribing to magazines. I can usually go through all my feeds in 5 minutes a couple of times a day. If I miss a day then I can simply skip headlines just as well. That's funny because what you think is news is just fluff since if it's a week old, it doesn't seem relevant anymore. Now if you are looking for things that are more specific, you can use Google Alerts. I like that one a lot. In another post, I'll publish my keyword searches.
